1. Take a traditional Pletna boat ride to the island
The pletna boat is a traditional wooden row boat in the Bled region. The people who row the boat are called pletnars, and this is not a job for everyone. These licenses were issued during the reign of Maria Theresa and from then, it has been passed down the generations.
