Trakoscan Castle
Built in the 13th century as an observation fortress, Trakoscan Castle has experienced many different owners. However in 1944, the castle became a national property. Then in 2003, it was designated as a cultural good of Croatia. Today, a museum stand in its place. Now it houses weapons from the 15th to early 20th century, furniture, and a vast collection of paintings, photographs as well as books.
Situated atop a lush hill in northern Croatia, Trakoscan Castle boasts breathtaking panoramas of both the surrounding verdant forests and picturesque lakes. This architectural gem serves as an evocative reminder of a bygone era. Enchanting guests with its turrets, battlements, and a rich tapestry of legends.
Varaždin
Next, continue with a short drive to arrive at Varaždin. Located also in northern Croatia, it is well known for its preserved palaces as well as public buildings. Admire the baroque and rococo architectural styles, Classicist and Secessionist houses and villas and one of the oldest city halls in Europe.

09:00am Pick up from your hotel or selected pick-up point in Zagreb.
10:30am Arrival at first stop – Trakoscan Castle.
12:00pm Next, depart for Varaždin.
13:00pm Arrival at Varaždin. Free time to explore and have lunch (own expense).
16:00pm Finally, return to Zagreb.
17:30pm Drop off at hotel or selected drop-off point in Zagreb.
